Hearty Concurrence... Mostly

See, and this is why we need a Plan. Because there are points upon which I disagree... I do not, however, disagree about your 2-days-to-respond rule, which is why I am now posting instead of sitting on my butt in front of the TV catching up on Grey's Anatomy. I'm awesome.

So, on to the points.

On the subject of topics: Yes, I do indeed have my own blog, and I'm totally not going to stop posting there, even though we, as a duo, are so 5. I've got a big(ish) readership over at my other blog, though, and I don't want to give that up. So for me the trouble will be deciding what to post here and what to post there. I mean, it's not like I have a lack of material or anything, but you know. The fact that something I post might go on either blog stresses me out. (It doesn't take much.) Perhaps we should come back to this topic later, when we've had some time to marinate on it. (In it? I guess if we're marinating, we're In It.)

No-no rules: WHAT? No potty humor jokes? I fart in your general direction. With the rest of it, I heartily concur. (Can you heartily concur? Concurring doesn't seem like one of those things which would involve a level of enthusiasm. You either concur or you don't.)

On our blog's audience: My goal is to eventually have an audience of editors and agents (who I'm sure would not mind at all that I just split an infinitive), but also a pre-fanbase. You know, people who already think we are so 5 that they will blindly buy our books when they come out and kinda push us up there on that bestseller list. Hey, dream big, right?

On our blog's purpose: We are the suckiest critique group ever. I don't disagree with that. But what I don't want this blog to be is a place to post excerpts and critiques. Our potential audience (editors, agents, and pre-fanbase), do not want to read that, and I certainly do not want to put my POS drafts out in a public forum for people who are not my best friend to read. I'm sure Skye heartily concurs. (Just smile and nod. Smile and nod.)

On the schedule: Yes, 2 days is good. And you don't get very many "get out of jail free" passes, girl, moving or not. I reserve the right to publicly flog you using this blog as a forum if you lapse in your posting duties. (Here's another good place to smile and nod.)

And when Skye is done smiling and nodding, she will smile and nod at my suggestion for her to post the story of So 5. Because I think there actually is a story... or something. That 5-hour drive gets a little hazy in my mind.

So what is it that publishers and editors and prefans want to read?

I agree. Inquiring minds want to know. I have no idea what they'll want to read... other than our wittiness, that is.
