I'm not sure this 2 day thing is going to work for me...

Obviously, I'm no better than my lovely friend at getting in under the deadline. In my defense, I was in travel hell all day long and the airlines tend to shoot first and ask questions later about internet usage on planes... so I'm late.

Oh, and for the record, I didn't jet set off to Hawaii just yet. That doesn't happen till after Christmas. The day after your lovely concert (and you were rocking the Bach) I drove down to Charleston to spend time with Craig's family before I flew out to California to spend time with my family. Which is great, except for the whole travelling thing.

My travel karma is VERY poor. It's like, so NOT 5. I got up this morning at 5:45 am eastern time, which those of you who know me know that I DO NOT do mornings. So that was unfortunate to begin with. And then my flight to Dallas was an hour and a half longer than it should be because we were circling the skies over Dallas hoping to land. By the time we did land we were super low on fuel and almost had to land elsewhere to fuel up in order to continue circling. I'm impressed that this didn't happen to me.

After that, the computers in Dallas screwed with my mind. I landed in the B terminal and checked the computers. They said my flight to LA was leaving from the D terminal... so i took the Skylink thingy over to the D terminal, only to find, when i arrived, that my flight was ACTUALLY arriving from A terminal. So back I went, running all the way, since I was super late from all the circling. But i made it, miraculously.

The flight out was slighly delayed... but mostly uneventful... until my seatmate spilled his Diet Coke on me. That was awesome.

But I did finally make it to California and saw the fam. We also got to watch some never before seen home videos of when i was about 6 months old. I was a darn cute monkey. Or a strange child. I'm not sure which. See the evidence? This is my very first passport photo. I'm obviously very suspicious of the photographer.

But still, oh so 5. And now I'm SO 25. :) Thanks for the birthday celebrations!
